Learning Outside the Classroom

At Blenheim Park, we believe learning outside the classroom is important to a child's overall development and achievement. We will be starting a Forest Schools programme in September 2022 and we also recognise that school trips are an effective and fun way of boosting learning and giving the children the chance to experience new and exciting things.

In the summer term 2022:

  • Years 4 to 6 went on a 3-day residential visit to London, visiting the Science and Natural History Museums, The London Eye, The Tower of London and seeing the Lion King in the West End.
  • Willow class spent a day at the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, touring the sculpture park and visiting the British Constructivist art exhibition, as part of their art topic.
  • Oak Class visited Pensthorpe Natural Park.
  • Birch class visited The Sandringham Estate.

Where possible, we look for activities recommended by the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom.
